Lauren Glick, a native of Salisbury Maryland, and now back living on the Eastern Shore, entertains crowds in and around the resort town of Ocean City.
Lauren became serious about music in college where she attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. She studied under the best vocal coaches and obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Film Scoring. She also studied bass guitar which was inspired by her most influential musician Aimee Mann from the then new wave group "Til Tuesday." Lauren began singing at age 10 when she discovered the Broadway hit, "Annie" and grew up singing with the sounds of Heart and Pat Benatar.
Lauren, a fruitful songwriter, has released 5 CDs, with her soon to be released CD “LUSH” summer 2023. With her soulful style and her heartfelt lyrics, you won't want to miss out on the album. Lauren has been blessed to partner with one the great guitarists in the local music scene, Mike Armstrong. Mike was not only her partner but mentor for over 23 years until his death in 2016. Lauren has expressed how it was a tough road putting the pieces back together. With that being said, she began to learn new material for the crowds from the classics to today's popular hits, and developed her own band, including local musicians, as Bobby Malaby, Ted Gelenis, Mike Bevan, Steve Kuhn and, Kelly Grubb.
Lauren also teaches voice and piano ranging from the ages 7 and up. She says it's never too late to start taking lessons.
Lauren recently signed a contract with Spectra Music Group, a globally recognized music company. She has been sought after for musical interviews, both on-line magazines and radio. She continues to introduce her new singles and videos on her website, Youtube, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Stay tuned, things are "tuning up".
From her vehemently soulful/bluesy delivery, Lauren's discography shows a reputation for creating compelling songs that reflect life's complexities with heart and soul.
